Frequently Asked Questions

Is my data really private?

Yes. We never see your data. It lives exclusively in your browser. If you don't believe us, you can inspect the network tab in your browser—you'll see no data being sent to any server.

What happens if I clear my browser cache?

If you clear your "Site Data" or "Cookies and other site data", your LocalToDo entries will be deleted. We recommend not clearing site data for LocalToDo if you want to keep your records.

Can I use LocalToDo on multiple devices?

Since we don't have accounts or cloud sync, your data on your phone is separate from your data on your laptop. This is the trade-off for absolute privacy.

Is LocalToDo open source?

We aim to make our tools as transparent as possible. You can view the entire source code of each page directly using "View Page Source" in your browser.
